November 13, 2013

Today we started the day with thrilling math classes.  Next in Gym class, we played Battle Ship with bowling pins, mats and dodgeballs. After that, the 5th and 6th grade  watched the last three book reports present.  After a very exciting English class, we split up into our Blue, Yellow, and Green groups for spelling.  In the middle of the day, we enjoyed our nutritious lunches, including walking tacos, and our very cold, yet fun, recess.  Next we went to Art class and worked on our candy wrapper zoom-in project.  After that we went to library to get some books to read.  Lastly in Religion class we learned about the Exodus and watched a video about it.  Have a great rest of the week and  God Bless!

Monday, November 11

Today is National Reading Day, so the whole day was dedicated to reading.  First we shared our book reports on books we've been reading for the past month.  After as many as we could fit in, (we have to do some tomorrow) we had about an hour or so to read a new book and experience the adventure of reading.  Later on we watched a fantastic movie that touched my heart and many of my classmates', based on a book.  The movie we enjoyed was Bridge to Teribithia.  When recess came, we all decided since it was indoor recess and we were all cozy in dress down clothing, blankets, pillows, sleeping bags, or bean bags, that we wanted to stay in and have a "nap time."  After lunch and recess, we watched the rest of the movie, enjoying popcorn and brownies. Yummy!  As the day came to a close the 5th and 6th grade went to gym class, and played Battleship for Veterans Day with bowling pins and dodgeballs.
Have a great rest of the week and God Bless!
