October 31, 2013
Happy Halloween!  We had a great day!  In the morning we had reading, spelling, Spanish, and math.  Then we changed into Halloween costumes and  had a parade in the gym.  Everyone looked great all dressed up in costume.  Our party was a lot of fun, and thanks to the parents for bringing treats for us to enjoy!

As part of our Red Ribbon Week & Halloween celebration, we had a door decorating contest.  Each class worked hard on their door, but in the end, 5th grade won 1st place!  We have earned a dress down day!  We will need to decide on a day to use this so that everyone in the class can enjoy it!  More info will come soon on this.  (We are planning on the 2nd week of November or later.)

First quarter ends tomorrow, and report cards go home on Wednesday, November 6th.  Have a great day.

Today we did an art project with candy. It is to teach us more about cropping, and we can't wait until you get to see them! We are also working on complex and compound sentences. We also took the blue group's spelling test today. A lot of the students were using the website Spelling City to study for this test. So I do encourage them to use this website it is www.spellingcity.com! Thank you and have a wonderful day. May God bless you in everything you do! <3

More Info:We also have a dress down in the morning and the kids are allowed to change into Halloween costumes in the afternoon! Please don't go oveboard with the costumes.  Can't wait to see what the kids are for Halloween!(:
